I’m framing information about Dhondup Wangchen, a Tibetan filmmaker who was arrested for “inciting separatism” and is still in jail, around the novel Red Poppies: An Epic Novel of Old Tibet by a Tibetan author, Alai [which I have not read, but is notable for a few reasons I explain].
